Courtney Henri is a fiery, diligent performer who found her love for performing in High School. Born in Durban South Africa, Courtney migrated to Perth at the age of five. Here she was given many opportunities to develop her skills and branch out into the performing arts community. Her drive and passion landed her lead roles in musical theatre productions, which only fuelled her love for performing. This inspired her to audition for the three year Bachelor of Performing Arts degree at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. Through her time at WAAPA she has explored more avenues in performance and her motivation lead to her achieving awards such as Performer Extraordinaire. From her experience at WAAPA, Courtney developed a unique passion for physical theatre and storytelling, in which she was able to explore in her final project performed at The Blue Room Theatre where she achieved the Tilt Award for her performance. Her lecturers and guest teachers have often praised Courtney on her devotion, easy-going persona and hard-working nature. Courtney is always striving to evolve her skills and try new things.
